God of War 3 is currently under development by SCE Studios Santa Monica to be published by Sony Computer Entertainment exclusively for the PlayStation 3. The game is currently slated for a March 16, 2010 release date.
There are currently unsubstantiated rumors that suggest the game will be released in March. Given the current lack of much information regarding the game, the rumors seem unlikely to be true, although it could happen.

It’s rare for a first party company to release games on their old system once the new one comes out. I was surprised that God of War 2 wasn’t on PS3.
